Auto Road to Mica Peak
NW
Other Improvements at Liberty Lake Announced.
The Inland Empire System has proposed building an automobile road from the lake up to the top of Mica Peak, an altitude of 5,200 feet. The path, if constructed, will wind over the hills by a circuitous route which will rise 3,125 feet.
Another plan which is under consideration is an automobile road around the lake. Thirty two acres have now been bought for a park at the north end of the lake. A bathing beach will be provided next summer capable of accommodating 10,000 people.
A dancing pavilion will be built over the water and a band will give concerts daily during the summer. The owner of the park is the Inland Empire Railroad.
They are also looking for a restaurant owner to open in that area.
Big plans are ahead for the next summer at the lake.
